Lacrosse League
About Us
SHOWTIME Lacrosse League was founded in the fall of 2004 at the Bare Hills
Sportsplex.  Owner and operator, Bob Kennedy, grew up playing in various
indoor lacrosse leagues while growing up in Baltimore and wanted to bring
something different to this league.

Much to o
ur chagrin here at SHOWTIME, we have felt that the sport of lacrosse
has been slowing down quite a bit on the field.  In an effort to bring back the
exciting style of transitional lacrosse that Roy Simmons, Jr executed so well in
his days as the head coach of Syracuse, w
e made SHOWTIME a run-and-gun
league.  Once a goal is scored, the goalie is free to clear the ball up the field
without waiting for a whistle.  This makes for a fast paced game.

In order to keep up with the high-speed tempo of the game, w
e decided that it
would be best to announce the action, play by play, over the load speaker.  To
build upon the excitement of the games, heart thumping music is played
throughout the arena.  The end result is the best indoor lacrosse you will ever
experience.

Bob Kennedy is
the son of Coach George Kennedy and is a filmmaker in
Philadelphia who insists on driving down every Saturday to announce all the
games because, "they're too much fun to miss."
